If you pay attention to my website you will notice that there are many kid-friendly recipes. With a name like Smores Brownie Bars you know these fall into that category. Feel free to make these with your favorite homemade brownie recipe, in this recipe I just used good a box variety.
My eldest loves to bake with me, and he could easily assembly these brownies on his own which includes some of his favorite ingredients, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and graham crackers.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I bet this recipe could easily be doctored up with other pantry leftovers. Maybe I will add some nuts or crushed up animal crackers.
SMORES BROWNIE BARS
1 – box of brownie mix
1- cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-2 cups graham crackers
2-3 cups mini marshmallows (or the large ones cut in fourths)
Prepare the brownie batter per the recipe and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the batter.
Next put an even layer of marshmallows over the top.
Break the graham crackers into smallish chucks and layer them on top of the marshmallows.
Bake per the brownie mix instructions.
Cool completely before cutting into squares, if you can wait that long!
